John King Burns
Chairman & Chief Executive Officer
Mr. Burns is former Chairman and founder of Northern Orion, which was subsequently acquired by Yamana Gold in a $1 billion transaction. He also served as Global Head and Managing Director of the Derivative Trading and Structured Finance Group at Barclays Metals London, a unit of Barclays Bank PLC, from 1991-1997, which provided over $3 billion to the mining industry during his tenure. It was Mr. Burns and his Barclays team that first proposed the combination of Minas Luismin S.A. with Wheaton River Minerals, which later became Goldcorp. He currently serves as Independent Director of China Gold International Resource Corp ($800 million market capitalisation) and to Simba Essel Energy and was an Advisor to Western Potash in the $32 million investment by a subsidiary of China National Overseas Oil Corporation (CNOOC). Mr. Burns’ prior accomplishments working within the mining industry include being former Chairman and Lead Director of Athabasca Potash (before it was sold to BHP for $341 million); as well as former Chairman of Dolly Varden Silver which, like Jaxon, is focused on the Golden Triangle in BC.
Yingting (Tony) Guo, PGeo., MMSA

Yingting (Tony) Guo has over 30 years’ experience in the mining industries. He has worked on mineral exploration and development projects/mines mainly in Asia and North America. Mr. Guo’s business expertise includes the mineral resource exploration, estimation, development, assessment, acquisition and project management. Mr. Guo has participated and managed several mineral exploration projects internationally and has directly involved discovering two large gold deposits (MOz Plus) for the last 20 years. His credentials include a Bachelor of Science Degree in Geology from the Nanjing University as well as a Doctor Degree in Geology and Exploration from China University of Mining and Technology. He is a registered Professional Geoscientist from the Province of British Columbia, Canada and QP Committee member of Mining and Metallurgical Society of America. As a Senior Geologist or a Senior Management Officer, Dr. Guo has worked from mining companies to consulting firms such as SW Tech Corporation, Jinshan Gold Mines, China Gold International, Behre Dolbear Group etc. Dr. Guo is the founder and Chairman for the Association of Chinese Canadian Mining Professionals in Canada. Dr. Guo currently is the Chairman of C2 Mining International Corporation and Transcontinental Gold corporation.
Vice President, Exploration
Carl is a mineral exploration Geologist with extensive experience in mineral exploration and resource assessment having more than 20 years in a leadership capacity. He has managed numerous exploration projects over five continents in most commodities and deposit styles for gold, base metals, lithium, uranium, diamonds, coal and graphite. Carl has a proven record for company management from juniors to multinationals, including Chief Geologist, Exploration for Normandy Mining from 1989 to 2002 (from less than $100m to $4.9 Billion market cap).
Alain Voisin CPA, CGA
Chief Financial Officer & Corporate Secretary
Mr. Alain Voisin, CPA, CGA Chief Financial Officer and Corporate Secretary of the Company, Mr. Voisin has worked with Jaxon since February 2018 and has served as Controller and CFO of various private and publicly traded companies, including a number of junior exploration companies over the past 15 years. Mr. Voisin obtained his Bachelor of Science from Western University.
Mr. Ballantyne has the significant role of being the Manager of the Company’s projects. Mr. Ballantyne had a distinguished career of 23 years starting in 1974, with the Geological Survey of Canada, as a well-known member of the Mineral Resources Division, where he specialized in Applied Exploration Geochemistry. He was responsible for the development and initiation of the National Geochemical Reconnaissance Stream Sediment surveys in the Canadian Cordillera and as a guest speaker has presented his research on a variety of deposits nationally and internationally. Since 1996 he has consulted to junior and mid-tier mineral exploration companies including a six year term ending in 2008 with Starfield Resources Inc. where he was an integral part of the successful exploration and development of resources at the Ferguson Lake copper-nickel-cobalt-platinum group metal deposit in Nunavut, Canada. Mr. Ballantyne is a B.Sc. graduate of the University of Guelph, Ontario.
James Lavigne P. GEO MSC

Mr. Lavigne has been a Director of JAXON MINING INC. since November 2008. Mr. Lavigne has over 25 years’ experience in all phases of mineral exploration and development predominantly in base and precious metal deposits. His positions included Vice-President of Exploration for Goldbrook Ventures Inc. where he was responsible for design implementation and management of their programs; senior geologist with FNX Mining Company; and consulting geologist with Wardrop Engineering. He is currently Vice President Exploration for Garson Gold Corp. focusing on the New Britannia Gold Mine, Snow Lake, Manitoba. Mr. Lavigne has a B.Sc. (Geology) from Memorial University of NFLD and a M.Sc. (Geology) from the University of Ottawa
Laurence Stephenson P. GEO MBA
Mr. Stephenson has been a Director of JAXON MINING INC., since November 2008. He has over 40 years’ experience in the field of mineral exploration and in guiding new companies in the acquisition and utilization of capital. He was instrumental in starting Glencairn Exploration Ltd., a listed company and its subsidiary, Wheaton River Minerals Ltd. (formerly listed on the Toronto Stock Exchange before its plan of arrangement with Goldcorp Inc.). Mr. Stephenson received his B.Sc. from Carlton University and his MBA from York University. He is a member of the Professional Engineers of Ontario and the Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of British Columbia.
